My Time Restricted Fasting Routine
Would it help to have a little spoon-feeding (ha!) on *how* to get a time restricted eating pattern started? If so: listen up!
My current Regimen looks as follows:
1. Friday and Saturday I just enjoy life, which is important.
2. Two days a week I will fast for 15 hours. 7pm — 10am. I consume as many clear liquids as I please, and use 1 teaspoon of Medium Chain Triglycerides (which could be coconut oil OR a branded version like XCT or MCT by Bulletproof)
3. The rest of the days I at least fast for 12 hours overnight.
WHY do people do this??
1. To improve weight balance
2. To stabilize and improve blood sugar and Cholesterol
3. To fight Inflammation
4. To protect against Neurodegenerative disease and enhance longevity.
Of course, this is not medical advice. But, explore with your clinician if this might be useful for you. I personally feel more energized and mentally sharp when I fast.
