Let’s talk about snacks
“Snack foods” are convenient and sometimes we need to lean on them in a pinch, but opt for real foods when you can! Opting for veggies is great as it’s more favorable for your blood sugar and metabolic health….and helps you stay satiated for longer.
It requires a reframe as we’re so accustomed to snacks being in packages (although I’d argue anything in a package is just not food 🤨) but roasted veggies are my favorite snack, and what I champion for my patients.
Wanna try?
Here I chopped some organic rainbow carrots, added salt, and roasted in avocado oil at 375 x30 min (I did many other things while it cooked #efficiency ) and had a yummy snack for a whole week! Efficient, and health-promoting!
What are YOUR snacks? Do they nourish you or sabotage you? 🧐🤔
