Dr. Gail Lee
I’m a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician and an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Provider with a deep commitment to whole-person care. My areas of particular clinical interests include Women’s Health and Hormone Dysfunction, Digestive Disorders, Fatigue/Brain Fog, Weight Management, Cardiac and Metabolic Health and Autoimmune Disease.
My journey into Integrative Medicine has been one of continual exploration and curiosity. I was first introduced to alternative medicine as a child through my mother, who had me treating acupuncture points on her back with moxibustion. Only in high school, when I was studying acupuncture, did I realize I had already practiced it! That early experience planted the seeds for a lifelong appreciation of healing practices that go beyond conventional medicine.
Throughout my career, I have sought to weave together traditional medical training with a mind-body-spirit approach. As Clinical Director of the University of Maryland Health Center, I led a multidisciplinary team that included acupuncturists, massage therapists, mental health professionals, registered dietitians, and medical providers. That experience solidified my belief in the power of integrative care.
As an internist, I see the body as an interconnected system. I don’t simply treat symptoms or isolated organs—I look for patterns, dig into root causes, and strive to understand the broader context of each patient’s life and health. Medicine, to me, is a “thinking specialty,” one that requires close listening, thoughtful analysis, and deep engagement.
I’m honored to partner with you on your path to a healthier mind, body, and spirit.
