Your Mind is a Tool

When I was a little girl, my parents used to shower me with the phrase “Make your Mind Strong.” It was a way to quickly shut down whatever whine or self-doubt I was expressing. And while the expression makes me giggle a bit, I’m deeply grateful for the steering and the profound message behind these simple words.

To this day, I’m aware that what we tell ourselves, how we narrate the story, is immensely powerful. Whether it is it finding the positive in an abysmal situation, choosing to push forward when something is difficult, or asserting the confident position when imposter syndrome kicks in “making your mind strong” allows us to BECOME what our minds are telling us.
