Dr. Anuoluwapo Toyin Alakija
I am a board-certified Family Medicine physician and an Institute of Functional Medicine certified provider. My areas of particular interest include women’s health and hormone dysfunction; autoimmune disease; irritable bowel syndrome; hair loss, skin, fatigue and weight challenges, in addition to working with people who want to optimize their Metabolic Health and prevent disease.
Thanks to my training in functional and integrative medicine I have a deeper understanding of the immense and innate power the body has to heal itself. My approach to medicine, therefore, focuses more on addressing mindsets, habits and physiological states that hinder self-healing.
I do not just treat symptoms but work with you to understand the underlying contributors to your current state of health. I use a combination of evidence-based research, advanced diagnostic tests and integrative modalities to craft a personalized, sustainable health plan that takes into account your belief systems, goals, and perspective of life. This approach to healing takes time, effort and commitment but it is incredibly effective and rewarding.
I love my work and I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your best health so you can live your most joyful and fulfilled life!
